1. Just because you ONCE loved it, doesn't mean you are obligated to KEEP loving it.
2. If it was a gift, and you are only keeping it because the person would be offended if you got rid of it, get rid of it. Especially if that person is not living, or doesn't come around.
3. If a piece of clothing isn't useful, fashionable, or comfortable, it's not worth keeping. And generally speaking, I want my clothes to be all three.
4. If you've "forgotten you had" something, odds are pretty good you don't need it.
5. I find a LOT of clothes pretty, but if they're not my style, I'm not going to wear them. I love heels, but I don't wear them. So I don't buy them. I can admire something and think it's beautiful without having to own it. And if I do slip and buy something because it's pretty, it doesn't mean I have to keep it forever. It can be pretty for someone else.
At the end of the day, nothing makes you feel as good as getting rid of things. Letting things go into the universe so others can enjoy it is important. If I'm not enjoying something it's going to waste, and if I really love it, I want it to be used and enjoyed.
