TGIF (June edition)
June 8th, 2012 11:19 pmHard to believe that we're a week into June already!
Fired the kiln yesterday (a full load of greenware) and everything came out fine. The firing took about 7.5 - 8 hours using the formula that I received via a potter at allexperts.com (that site is wonderful) and it worked like a charm. Can't wait to start the glazing process on this batch - and I have two new glazes to play with to boot.

daecabhir came home early today and helped me get the house ready for family coming in tomorrow since this week has been a bit hectic. He's made of win, of course, but you probably already know that if you are reading my journal.
We'll be hitting VARF tomorrow (it's the last weekend) and then I'll have to wait two months to get my faire fix again.
Once we get this weekend under our belts, we need to start plotting in earnest for our upcoming camping trip to Lewis (aka Lew's) Mountain with1painter42 and friends. This will be daecabhir's first time and it's been a few years since I have been able to go with the gang so we are pretty jazzed. There will be lots of laughs, food and tarps. And cheese curls.
