Dear universe...
June 23rd, 2012 10:49 pmFor the love of horses, I wish that my right ear would just pop and go back to normal. Since Monday, I have been on antibiotics the size of pony pills and while my ear will go crackly sometimes, it just won't pop all the way and relieve the pressure. Thankfully, the plugged up ear doesn't really hurt - it's just uncomfortable.
My voice is coming back slowly but surely; maybe like 85% back to normal at this point. I'm still tired a lot and have napped a few times this week.
I am ready to be healthy again, please.
In other news, we have a mouse (or mice) in the basement. As much as
daecabhir hates to do it, we are setting traps before the littler sucker(s) due some real damage. We found a few things nibbled on upstairs as well mouse poop downstairs. I've never had much trouble with them in good weather, so this is a little puzzling but they simply are not welcome to be in the house. Apparently they are staying under the dogs' radar to boot.
daecabhir and I are in the midsts of enjoying a rare weekend to ourselves. We had planned to stay home all weekend but today he indulged my desire for some yummy Thai food. We made an evening jaunt to Fredericksburg and hit the Home Goods store so that he could what the fuss is about, then went to Total Wine to score some adult beverages (found a brand of lambic that I've not tried before) and then it was off to Thai Town 56 for dinner.
Did a bit of wheel throwing yesterday and have four pieces to show for it; a small plate, a spoon rest, a large plate and a bowl. Little by little, I'll fill up the kiln for another bisque firing.
As I sit here typing, I am wearing my 'Wonder Woman' bracers to help my wrists. It's too early to know if they are helping me yet but I'm trying to good wear them the ten hours a day that Dr. Truong recommended.
