Updates on a Tuesday in July

My wonderful man came up with a great idea for better space utilization in the basement and a way to set up the TV and exercise equipment so we set about making that happen. Well, in reality, he did most of the heavy lifting and I spent some time in the studio glazing pottery. There is still electricity to be run to power all of the things but the basement looks a lot better. Lots of stuff was gone through - some things made into the trash, other things were organized and four boxes are going to GoodWill. The 'sell on ebay' pile grew as well. We still have lots to do in the basement but we made huge strides this weekend.
In the total win department was our brunch of 'sort of' Eggs Benedict. Vegetarian Canadian bacon served with scrambled eggs over sauteed squash and homemade bread. It was YUMMY! Men who can cook are so sexy - especially my

Today found me running the kiln for a glaze firing. Can't wait to crack this one open to see if the Coyote desert sage behaved itself and shows up green instead of brown. There are two new glazes in the mix this go-round -

Today has been a bit of a roller coaster for me ... Don would have been 55 today. It has been one year since he found out that he had cancer - he received a death sentence for his birthday. While we didn't get to see each other in person a lot anymore, there were always the phone calls and emails. I miss him so very much. It makes me sad that Don and
