Good Monday - just not as planned
August 20th, 2012 10:25 pmWhile I had planned on going into Culpeper today to do some grocery shopping and ship out eBay packages, I had not planned on being there by 10 am. Seems the scheduling at my eye doctor's office is completely hosed lately and the appointment that I had last Wednesday that had been moved to this Wednesday was being cancelled and they just so happened to a slot open at 10 am. I learned of this when they called just after 9 am!
After a quick bit of scrambling, I made it out the door and in the doctor's chair on time. The restatis that I have been putting in my eyes twice a day has fixed my dry eye problem (I hadn't realized I had a problem until I mentioned that my eyes get tired and irritated easy to the doc). That's the good news. The bad news (well, not really bad) is that I have keep putting the drops in my eyes twice a day. He also gave me a sample of some OTC drops that I can put in my eyes if they need a little extra help.
Today's awesome moment: Walking through a parking lot to go shopping and having a guy comment that I looked happy.
Why, yes. Yes, I am!

daecabhir and I had our 'play with clay date' this past Sunday and it was quite delightful having him in the studio and watching him try his hand on the wheel. He made a bowl on his very first try! His second attempt went a bit awary, but I was able to help him save his work and we turned a plate out together. I cleaned up the pieces from the weekend today and he signed his work this evening after dinner.
We've done a pretty awesome job of getting stuff out of the house via both Craigslist and eBay. Three packages went out today, another will go Wednesday and the cube fridge was picked up on Saturday.
