Once again I figure that I must be having fun because is flying by very quickly. With VARF looming closer and closer, the list of things that must be done seems to be getting bigger.
Sunday's bisque firing went well; the only hitch is that once again the 04 cone did not bend at all but the pottery seems just fine. A good deal of bisqueware has been glazed and the kiln is filled again and set run tomorrow at cone 6 for glazing. There's another glaze load to run after that once I finish getting those pots all glazed. There's been no clay time in a while and I miss it.
Allison's friend in NC wants three spoonrests but is in the middle of moving so we'll until she's settled to work up the order.
After having along talk and some quality time with brushes, Q-tips, and oil, the Kenmore is back in action. There's no time for a fussy sewing machine now! There are more gray fan pouches finished, a lot almost done, and three dozen more that are cut and ready to run through the serger.
Our feastware came today and it's really nice. Hopefully we will look fashionable while munching our goodies while in the shire.

daecabhir to try his hand at making extruder dies. Also scored were some battery-operated candles to stick in candle holders in my display, and a cross-stitch kit which yielded a really nice piece of lace for clay, canvas for pin sashes, and a small piece of material for bias tape. Not a bad thrifting day for under four bucks.
Speaking of bias tape, as it turns out the Simplicity bias tape maker was a complete bust. It didn't feed hardly at all and got stuck at every seam. Although it was past 30 days since my purchase I asked Amazon to make an exception and take it back for a full refund - which they did. I've already purchased a manual 1" maker and have a 2" tip on order for the tent cover trim.
Nice catch-up call today withdreamtigress - since she's been through 'first faire jitters' she's a great source of both information and support. Thank you sister o' mine!
