pandasheart: Dragonfly (dragonfly)
After two rainy days, we had a glorious day here in Virginia with amazing weather; there was a light breeze and crisp blue skies. All the windows in the house were open, including the studio screen door. While I would have liked to enjoy more time outside, I still have lots to get accomplished in preparation for VARF so I worked on crossing things off of my faire-prep to do list.

Thanks to my most awesome sister, [livejournal.com profile] dreamtigress, I had the electronic artwork needed to create signs for credit card acceptance and finding P3 on Facebook (aka the Book of Faces in faire-speak). The art was printed out onto fabric sheets made for the inkjet printer and then I sewed them into signs. Also created on the sewing machine today was a bagholder to store plastic bags in at the booth, and I added trim on one of my chemise shirts. I made plans for my Prancing Pony Pottery banner but couldn't really start on it because I am just about out of navy thread.

In other sewing news, I've finished sewing all of the fan pouches that I had planned on stocking for VARF and made covers for the stools that came from Craigslist (they match the tent). I've probably stitched a few other things but my brain is a little fuzzy now; in part due to the peche lambic I am enjoying. The perfect drink for Beltane me thinks.

The kiln firing on the 29th went well - another glaze load. With no studio time recently, I don't even have any greenware waiting for kiln time at this point. Hopefully I can get some quality clay time soon.
