That particular snap would be the sound of my eyeglasses snapping in two pieces. As I was cleaning them this evening, the bridge piece between the eyes snapped with quite an audible pop. Having worn glasses since the third grade, I have gone through a lot of eyeglasses and have never really had a pair break before - certainly not like this. Ugh!
Since it's been over a year since my last eye exam, I am not sure if I would be better off replacing lenses and frames or just the frames. We'll see what the doctor recommends tomorrow.
After sleeping in pretty late this morning,
daecabhir and I had a pretty productive day around the country home ...
Tried two new fruit beers this evening and both were a huge disappointment. The manager at Total Wines said that if I bring the empty bottles back with the receipt, he'll refund my money so I can buy some Lindeman's.

- the Kinetico water system has been re-charged
- the big 'flower' bed in the front yard has been weeded and the rose bush trimmed
- the entire yard has been weed-eated
- cracks in the driveway where weeds have been spouting have been sprayed with herbicide, along with the bottom of the chain link fence and a few other problem spots in the yard (wild blackberries and poison ivy)
- the hummingbirds got fresh nectar in both feeders
- corn was spread out on the drain field for the crows which have been visiting us lately (and maybe some deer)
- the dwarf Japanese maple got trimmed
