A wee bit of art and AT&T
July 20th, 2013 10:21 pmAfter sleeping in this morning,
daecabhir and I met
1painter42 for a foray into Middleburg to check out a small art exhibit and see what other trouble we could get into. Before we headed north though, we had a quick bite at Carousel - the salted caramel ice cream was yummy as were the fries and my hot dog.
After checking out the art, we walked around a bit to see what there was to see. Downtown Middleburg is not too big and several shops were closed but we managed to check out the thrift shop and a huge antique shop before having dinner. Not surprisingly, the thrift shop featured several saddles and pairs of riding boots. They also had two pairs of Danskos that caught my eye, but both were too small for me. Dinner was at the Fox Den - I had the vichyssoise which was delightful and the trout special which was okay (the beurre blanc sauce could have used a bit of oomph as could the mashed potatoes). The important thing though was the company - and that was awesome.
On the way home, we decided to stop by the AT&T store in Warrenton to see what they had to say about service for our area. One of the guys travels very close to our home during his commute so he had first had knowledge of what sort of service we might be able to expect. AT&T also offers their version of Verizon's HomeLink which might be more promising if their coverage is as good as they say.
