Random family notes of the day

• Mom says that I am named for my father's grandmother but she is not sure which one.
• Grandpa Torre's mother died as a result of a cauldron of boiling water (for laundry) falling on her. As a result his brother, who was helping the mother at the time, left the family and was never heard from again.
• Grandma Torre's mother died when Mom was six months. The basement apartment in the house on Hillcrest Avenue was built for her.
• Aunt Amelia was Grandpa Torre's sister. After Grandma and Grandpa got married, they lived with her for a short time until the house in Lodi was ready. Grandpa built the house in the early 20's/
