mmm mmm good!

pandasheartTonight's feast was the fried chicken dinner that our local fire department puts on 4 times a year to raise money. I am not sure what they do to their fried chicken to make it taste SO good ~ but I am very glad that they do it! The chicken may even be baked, not fired... whatever it is, it is delicious. Not to mention scrumptious sides & desserts.
Yes ~ Ladies & Gentlemen ~ the carb-nazi ate dessert! CAKE & PIE! There is this homemade cake with coconut & nuts & pineapple & yummy that we tasted last time. Seeing that it made another appearance, I had a piece of it. But then... I noticed some homemade coconut custard pie. Had I not fallen off the carb bandwagon for the first piece of cake, I would have surely jumped off for coconut custard (one of my all-time favorites). Turns out that this was not your ordinary coconut custard... it had pineapple in it! A sort of pina colada custard pie.
YUMMMMY!
To make amends (somewhat) I hit the treadmill for half an hour. It is probably time to up my daily minutes again on the treadmill, but 30 just seemed right for tonight with the tummy full of fried chicken.
Hmm, what is new?
The ex is gone for a few days on a fishing trip with his best buddy. I am glad that we get some away time from each other. It always seems to make one glad to be reunited with loved ones & stuff.
Our living room is now a sage-green sort of color. A bit more minty then they look I was going for, but the color is okay & our stuff looks awesome against it. We laid tile in the foyer & around the fireplace last week. It looks absolutely fantastic (if I say so myself... which I am).
I have my Endeavor back after it was in the shop last weekend. Wow! I sure did miss it. Even though this Endeavor is not truly the one I wanted, it has been great fun to drive. The bike is next... although it will take a king's ransom to get it out of the dealership with all the work that is being done to it.
