Back to being a desk jockey
April 11th, 2005 10:20 amSince I am now certified in "lifesaver first aid" & CPR, if I see you choke or bleed or something, I will rush to your aid... unless you are totally repulsive or did something incredibly stupid to get hurt.
Saturday:
Up at 4 am to go hunting on the first day of Spring Turkey season. We did not hear or see a single turkey, but we did get a few naps in. We came out of the woods by 11 am, picked up the Dodge, dropped off the truck we had borrowed, grabbed some lunch, stopped to be a plant for a friend (decisions, decisions!) & then rushed home to shower & change so that we could rush to the party for said friend. Had a WONDERFUL time at the party - as we left, Brian said that we should go out more often. Of course, he says this every time we go out & have a nice time, but we simply never get out more.
Sunday:
Another beautiful day. We goofed off for a little bit playing EverQuest in the morning, then bolted outdoors to do some yard work. We worked really hard ALL day - trimming trees, planting bulbs (a bit late, I know), mulching, picking up the yard, I cleaned my garage & restocked the firewood rack, did 2 loads of laundry, did some dishes, made sun tea, & then Brian strapped me into the "jet pack" (a backpack-style blower) so I could blow the driveway & our little path in the woods. Last but not least, Brian hung the hammock up & we took a well deserved rest together in it.
Today finds me scratched up & sore but content with a job well done!
