Ready to be kidnapped or something
April 20th, 2005 07:10 amHoly smokes - what a week!
It seems that it is my turn to have the Fuck Up Fairy sitting on my shoulder. Some mistakes had mistakes. Just when I thought I was going to see the light of day, the other Senior PM takes another day off. Hopefully today will be the last day of sheer madness, then I can settle down to my normal level of craziness.
The stress is taking a bit of a toll... I was truly a miserable creature when I came home from work yesterday & I kind of feel sorry for the ex catching the brunt of it.
The weather is truly amazing this week. I had kinda promised myself that I would try to go for a walk during lunch but I haven't been able to leave the building with everything going on. (And I have been working late to boot!)
My bow. I need to get back to shooting my bow. A certain very tall man that shall go nameless used my targets and left them out in the weather so now I really don't even have good targets to shoot at anymore. If I am going to be ready for hunting season, I better act now. If any of the archery crowd is visiting - leave me some inspirational comments, eh?
Speaking of hunting... a whitetail doe ran in front of me last night on my ride home. Yes - on the motorcycle. It's so *fun* to see a deer crashing out of the woods when you are on two wheels. Yes, I am being sarcastic! I sensed her coming and braked hard and watched her skitter across the asphalt. This came after a ground hog tried to kama-kazi in front of the Wing a few miles earlier. I could hear his nails scratching against the pavement.
Yesterday morning as I was about to wheel the Wing out of the garage, a red-tail hawk flew up from the front lawn - WOW, what a sight. I ran in the house to get my binoculars because he was in a nearby tree, but by the time I got the binoculars to my face, he was gone. Still a neat feeling to have a visit from a hawk friend.
Time for me to jet to work. Thanks for stopping by!
