Hmmm ~ A bit late since it is January 4th already, but hey, if you're that upset, leave me a feedback. That will teach YOU to complain!
Keeping with the low-key theme of Christmas, we had a fairly low-key New Year. My sister was able to come down to VA on the 31st so that we could exchange gifts & what-not. Brian was in charge of making a pork loin in the rotisserie & it came perfect! Mom made almost all of the veggies (more yummy bok choy & napa cabbage) so I was able to relax & enjoy everyone a bit more.
Lots more nice presents for all ... some very fun pottery (with dragonflies!) was included in my booty from my sister. Brian & I also received a quilt rack from the Tigery one so now we can have some of our quilts out & not taking up the entire chest in the bedroom!
Once again the "great slipper hunt for Brian" was a bust. I had found some very nice slippers at Casual male (size 16) but they were a tad too wide for the Tall Guy. It seems to be the general assumption that if you wear a size 16 shoe, you surely must have a W I D E foot. Brian, however, has a narrow foot, making shoe purchases a bit more complicated. I guess this means that I owe him a present, but since he owes me one too (some-romantic-earring-thing, he says) we just may be even.
Hunting season ends on the 7th, which means only one more day of hunting for us. Brian saw 3 does this past Monday, fired 3 shots & missed, while I saw nothing but squirrels. We came out of the woods early since it started raining pretty hard on us. Hopefully our last hunt of the year will be a good one.
