Our household grows AGAIN!
January 23rd, 2006 09:00 pmYesterday we adopted a new furry addition to our household. Our new furry does not yet have a name but she is certainly a little cutie. She has a cream-colored head & a white body with a few little stray cream spots, a long tail, perky little ears. She likes very much to hang out wrapped around our necks.
<< evil grin >>
For the curious, our new pet is a rat. Yes, you read correctly, a rat. Before you get all crazy on me, please note that domestic rats & wild rats are very different. I had a pet rat when I was younger. She was an "Irish Hooded" named Patty-Rat. And, yes there are different species of rats with distinct colors, color patterns & fur varieties. There are rat shows, much like dog shows where they are judged on confirmation & such.
After a bit of checking, it seems our nameless rodent is a Beige Barebacked Standard in rat breed-speak.
