Planet Daytime
March 1st, 2006 03:34 pmIt's true ~ I am back at work under my "normal" guise! This week, or what's left of it, I will be working from 8 am to 5 pm at the VP's suggestion & should hopefully start 7 am to 4 pm next week.
The day has gone smoother than expected ... it seems some things have changed, but have many not (sadly, in a few cases). Apparently the OSPM (Other Senior Project Manager) made an announcement while I was out that she knew nothing about any of my projects so no one better ask her about them during my absence. How professional of her! Outside of one lunatic client calling the plant when he should have talked with me, I think all went smoothly.
There has been some buzz about why I was not moved back into my old office, but I have just smiled & avoided the topic. With the few folks that I could divulge anything to, I told them the truth ... I'm not exactly sure what the VP has in mind for me!
The blue nails have gotten some attention & I have made sure to tell everyone that Brian picked out the color!
There is an animal hospital in Middleburg that would like me to come in for an interview (hospital manager position) & I am trying to figure out a way to make the available interview hours work without taking a ton of time off to go meet with them. The contact at the hospital does not seem interested in doing anything outside the scope of her normal hours. The commute would be approximately 1 hour & 15 minutes at best but should not be in much traffic. I've no idea what sort of salary they will offer.
Everyone seems to be telling me to get back in veterinary medicine ...
