The haircut saga
April 17th, 2006 10:00 amI've needed a haircut for a while now, but with my hairdresser only available on Sundays, things are a bit limited. Brian has cut my hair for the last two times which means it really needs to be cut by a professional this time.
I was hoping against the odds that the beauty salon would be open on Easter Sunday, but no such luck. What I do find out is that after today the salon will be closed for two weeks for re-modeling - ACK! Fortunately, they are open today AND my hairdresser will be there.
After dashing out of the office early to try to make it to the salon by 2:30 (they are closing at 3 pm for the re-modeling) I find heavier than normal through town (of course) & am a bit late to the mall. Thank Goddess, Lea is just finishing up with another customer & agrees to take me since I called. (They were turning away other customers.)
While I'd love to get highlights, time & money do not allow for this. Lea gives me a good cut ~ not her best, but better than a lot of folks at "reasonably-priced" salons. While she's cutting my hair she drops the bomb on me that she is moving out of the state in June.
Good grief! Every time I find a good dresser either they move or I do!
On the up side, Lea gives her cell phone number & lets me know that she can do the highlights from her home if I wish, something I hope I get to take her up on before she goes.
