Thank Goddess it's Friday & I have a 2-day break from the nuthouse known as my place of employment! Some folks may think that I have fallen off the face of the planet but I am still really here.

As the story was being told, I was handling my final project of my tenure as a Senior Project Manager before moving into full time resource control (the VP's new term for what I will do) & managing the Data Processing department. It sounded good ... however, as the project-from-absolute-hell was grinding down, the client popped another project on me & put me in a good situation to compete for one of the biggest mailings they have done in a very long time. A project that my company wanted desperately & one that I was fairly confident that I could win.

So instead of trying to forget the project-from-absolute-hell & going on my merry way, I have ended up launching two more projects. Granted, I will be handing them off next week, but the launch of said two projects have made for one heck of an interesting & long week. The huge project from the client has completely changed in scope not once but twice; each time after a consideration amount of time was spent on said project.

Ah well, I shall survive!

I'm currently listening to the DaVinci Code audiobook. The ex has already listened to it; I'm only on disc 2 but am enjoying it. The ex is already chomping on the bit to the see the movie, although the reviews coming out today are rather unkind. I'd really prefer to finish the book before seeing it on the big screen.

The ex is taking the Motorcycle Safety Course this weekend ~ the very same one that I used to teach. Well, sort of the same one, they have changed the curriculum since I was pounding the pavement. I'm looking forward to riding over tomorrow to check things out. I probably should have asked one of the Chief Instructors for permission to monitor the entire course, but didn't want to make the ex feel uncomfortable.

Assuming the ex passes the course we will then have the issue to deal with of him riding my motorcycle. For as long as we have been together, I have always told him that he was not allowed to ride my bike without going the course & now that day is here. I've been working hard to try to sort out how I feel about sharing my motorcycle with someone. Motorcycles are sort of like panties ~ personal & intimate. While I can't envision the the ex in my a pair of my thongs, we do tend to get a bit "personal & intimate" on occasion. LOL

I guess it'll all sort out one way or the other.

Time for me to get some R & R!
