Hump(ty Dumpty) Day
June 7th, 2006 10:18 amOy ... what a start I am off to!
The day started off badly when I backed my Endeavor out of the garage ... right into the trash can that the ex neglected to take out. 99% of Wednesday mornings find me reminding the ex about the garbage & to take his uniforms in, but I forgot today. 99% of Wednesday mornings find me double checking to make sure the garbage has gotten to the curb (really to the end of the driveway since we don't have a curb), but I forgot today. I am fairly certain the scratches can be buffed out, but what a yucky way to start the day.
The ex called me when he arrived at work & I unloaded all of this on him. He apologized, which was sweet, since it's not like he was driving my SUV or anything. Speaking of sweet, when he rode in Monday evening a bit late, I was waiting for him in the driveway, leaned up against his truck. As he passed me on the Wing, he called me cutie. I don't think he's ever called me that before & boy did it feel nice.
Office sharing: I knew it would be a bit of a challenge & it seems that I was right. Although my roommate is out of the office today, I am hopeful that the office sharing thing does not last too long. While the office has a thermostat to control DP, the server room as well as the office itself, my esteemed roommate has it password protected. Monday, after I commented on Friday's staggering heat, we froze. Yesterday & today finds all 3 rooms rather stuffy & I can't do anything about it.
My roommate also has a TV on some times which will not do when one is trying to deal with clients, have conference calls & meet with staff. After he walked in on me trying to figure out how lower the volume so I could take a call from a client, the blasted thing has been left off thankfully.
Side note: Said roommate has worked for the company for 23 years & has known the owners forever.
Anyhow, that's a little bit of my day. Time for me to get back at the grind.
