2 days to vacation...
July 21st, 2006 09:25 am& I am SICK! Yesterday I slept in a little & came to work late. Tried to leave early, but that NEVER works. Dayquil has been my friend; in fact, I think it helped me geek some stuff no one has been able to figure out in our print management software.
I FINALLY treated myself to the pedicure that I PROMISED myself that I would get before going to the beach. Since we are rolling coins to hit the beach, I paid for the pedicure with some money leftover from my second shift bonus. (I'm really glad I have been stingy with it!) I tried a new shop on my way home; the treatment was top notch, although the Korean girl that did my feet called me Mary Ann.
Today, I don't have much of a voice ~ which is something that is very funny for my co-workers. I have had to ask someone else to be my voice at the production meeting that I run & I am writing a lot of notes. On the other hand, I sound kinda sexy, in a Lauren Bacall sort of way. I've also joked that I am going to call the Smooth Jazz radio station & see if I can DJ for them today.
I had planned on wearing the new sandals that I bought (on sale, of course!) from JC Penney to show off my new & improved toes, as well as get used to them for the beach. After clopping around the house for a bit, I don't think they are going to work & will swing by JC Penney today to return them. I didn't think finding the right sandals could possibly be such a big deal! Of course, I found a lot of nice ones ... just out of my league price-wise.
Time to go & whisper during my meeting!
