Sent off the revised version of the severance documentation that my former employer gave me. Stricken are the words that I "voluntarily resigned" as well as the section that states I am not eligible for re-hire. Not that I can foresee me *ever* wanting to go back there, but I will be damned to have that sort of language in my personnel folder.
Of course, it's not like they have a HR department anymore ... that person was 'downsized' as well.
The ninja mission that Brian & I are working on is still moving forward. All will be revealed in a few days. Honest.
Saw my new GP, Dr. Clemo, yesterday for well-woman exam. We made jokes about what exactly it takes to be a well woman! She impressed me by actually reading through my medical records. Based on what she found, she has ordered me for some tests, so in addition to scheduling my annual mammogram (welcome to the 40's), I will need to have blood checked sugar, thyroid & cholesterol.
The weather here is absolutely stellar ~ cool, crisp, gorgeous. I have done a little around the yard; I should do more but job hunting & the ninja mission are taking up a LOT of time. I've applied for a lab tech job in Chantilly; I'm most likely over qualified & the pay is probably not that great, but it would sure beat the heck out of going back into direct mail.
OK ... enough computer time - I better get back to my "to do" list!
