Ninja no more
October 1st, 2006 09:45 pmThis evening just before sunset ...
in a colorful hot air balloon ...
flying over Charlottesville, VA ...
The ex & I were married!
The ninja mission? Planning an elopement in one week. "Wedding in a week". Sort of like bed in a bag but not quite & much more expensive. The past week has been a blur. Getting the marriage license (no waiting period ~ thank Goddess!), finding a balloon company, finding a marriage commissioner, plotting a "plan B" in case the balloon could not fly, writing our vows, shopping for rings, figuring out what to wear, shopping for what to wear, meeting the marriage commissioner, picking up the rings, etc.
I think you get the picture.
The ex revealed his plan for all of this on our way home after the ceremony. He turned to me said smugly, "Things went just the way I planned."
I looked at him (possibly a little credulously) & asked, "How is that?"
With a huge grin, he replied, "My plan was to let you do all the planning, Honey."
More about the flight later ... right now I am going to bed as Mrs. Robertson for the first time.
