Mrs. Robinson?
October 6th, 2006 07:00 amWhile I am still getting used to my new last name (last time was more than 20 years ago ~ EGADS!) it has become rather amusing to see how many people sing the song "Here's to you Mrs. ROBINSON" to me.
The first gal who did it genuinely thought Brian's last name was Robinson. I just thought she was joking & I mentally substituted Robertson when she sang it. She fessed up today & was horribly embarrassed. I thought the whole thing was funny.
I remember being surprised at folks who could not get their tongue around Schwind. It seemed awfully easy to me, but hey, what do I know. I also thought Robertson was a no-brainer, but it seems I have to spell it for a lot of folks & will need to pronunciate carefully so as to avoid confusion with Robinson.
