pandasheart: Panda's Heart (pony welcome)
Now that the countdown is on for me to return work, I have a "To Do" list a mile long of little projects that I need to wrap up before my free time vanishes.

A good part of this morning was spent tracking down our federal income tax return; somehow the routing number from last year ended up being used.  Fortunately the financial institution in question deposited the funds rather than send them back to the IRS.  If the IRS had to track the payment down, we would have to wait 6 weeks to get our money.  Hopefully the mystery surrounding our state refund will go as 'smooth'; my guess is the same mistake has happened there.

Now we can go microwave shopping!  Woohoo!  The microwave we have now was a wedding present to me in 1983.  It has a dial.  It is huge.  It is a powerhouse that still (unbelievably) works, I just want a sexy stainless steel one above my stove & gain some counter space.  Out of the refund money, we will also replace Brian's wedding band.  ::: growl :::

We take a break from this LiveJournal for the following message:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JUSTINE!

Now back to our program...

More baby Beagle eyes are appearing; they sure are taking their time!  Oddly enough, the tan & white puppies' eyes seem to be opening faster than the tri-color.  Two of the tri-color babies have open eyes & two of them look like Japanese Beagles.  (Not to be confused with Japanese Beetles!)  While the puppies are not able to focus very well yet, having visible eyeballs changes their appearance.  They cute both ways, of course.

Brian has now announced that all the talk about keeping a puppy has been a joke.  You are all witnesses to this information.

Litter number two is still in the belly of the shy Beagle girl.  She didn't eat much breakfast, so I think she is getting closer.  Unfortunately it's on the cool side today; with a chance of flurries tomorrow.  I let her know that starting Monday I won't be around during the day so she needs to hurry up!  My new boss did says it was OK to bring them in & put them under my desk.  I told him to be careful what he wishes for!

Yesterday's urine test experience was a minor adventure.  While I have had medically required urine tests, I have never had to have one for employment.  Not being able to wash your hands afterwards until the tech has the sample feels a bit odd to say the least.  Patients are also instructed to not leave their sample out of their sight until it is properly sealed & labeled.  Samples are also tested for temperature.  Apparently cheating is rampant.  Although I did not study for this test, I shall assume I have passed.
