Another stellar day
April 22nd, 2007 10:13 pmI want the weather to be just like this year-round. Well, OK, maybe some cooler days for my Mother.
We had a HUGE scare this morning, when *something* made me count puppy heads & I only came up with 7. Brian, Cooper & I fanned out over the property looking & listening for puppy #8, but were coming up empty. The momma dog's face was swollen on one side & we thought that maybe she had fallen as she got out of the pen. Just as I was thinking about calling the police, the momma dog walked into the woods & I followed her. She ducked under a tarp that is covering roofing shingles & guess who I found under there with her!
::: huge sigh of relief :::
Unfortunately, momma dog's face kept swelling, indicating an insect sting. As if the poor dog is not ugly enough, now she has a fat face & neck as the swelling traveled. Thanks to Mom for bringing some Benadryl over which has kept the swelling at bay.
My big accomplishment for day was getting the Wolf Pack 2 [tm] online! Yes! You can view the little wonders here.
Another big happening of the day was taking a deposit for the very first puppy! He is going to have an awesome home & be spoiled rotten. His new home will even come with a built-in brother. LOL
The puppies are off to a good start eating puppy food. I'll be picking up some dewormer for them at work tomorrow.
