May 23rd, 2007 06:31 amYesterday they started burning stumps on the mess of a lot that was cleared across the street from us & since we had our windows open, our entire house smells like smoke. By the time we got home, it was too late to do much about it, so we will have that "campfire fresh" feeling for a while.
On my way home from the warehouse run last night I learned that our local firehouse is putting on one of their FRIED CHICKEN DINNERS this very Saturday. This is most awesome since we have missed the last 2 chicken dinners & we have firemen friends coming into town for the weekend. I have no idea of how they make the fried chicken at the firehouse but it is some of the BEST fried chicken on the planet.
