Thanks goodness the hub-bub is over with the whole Culpeperfest thing. It was a nice event put on by the Culpeper Chamber of Commerce. This is their biggest fund raiser of the year. Everyone kept telling me that ... but no one could tell what they do with the funds they raise! I hope they do a little more than use the money to put on the event.
Several people have commented that this year's booth went MUCH more smoothly than any other year, including set up, the actual display & take down. Next year should be even better since I will have more than a week & a half to plan for it.
Since we had a lot of store merchandise with us, it was a little nerve wracking to keep an eye on everything. So far we know of item that stolen from the booth & one item that was given away. I won't know the final tally until the cashiers check everything on the list we made. The store manager told me if that is all that was stolen, it will also be a first.
We were supposed to travel to North Carolina this weekend to spend some time with friends, but between the 3 puppies, 3 adult dogs & the price of gas, we decided to stay home. Timing seems to be everything though, because we will have the chance to get my brother-in-law's Bobcat for the weekend to do some long overdue work at Mom's & Brian's Uncle Jack's house.
