The ex & I were up both early so that we could go to Mom's & work on her yard with the Bobcat. She's been really patient about waiting for the ex to come with the machine to take care of regarding her yard ... something he said he would do when she first got the house. ::: eye roll :::
The ex makes using the Bobcat look so simple! He whizzes around with it so fat & with such precision, it really impresses me. I know that he would make good money in the private sector if he could handle how things go in the private sector vs. government work. He moved over two dump truck loads of dirt around, removed some old posts & swing set that was in the ground with cement anchors. He re-graded the back & side of the house creating a much more user-friendly yard. He even dug up a huge row of hosta plants using the bucket very carefully.
Mom replanted some of the hostas while I raked the ground level. Afterward, we spread straw over the dirt ... now all she needs is some grass seed. Mom fed us a yummy lunch too.
When we brought the Bobcat back to the ex's brother, we stayed & chatted a while. Plus the ex wanted to pick up his birthday present ... a case of expensive Scottish beer (McEwans). $60 a case. We found it outside, in the sun & it had been rained on. I just don't understand some people.
