When I pulled the Endeavor into the garage & got out, I heard a loud buzzing sound. Ducking, I looked around for a wasp or other large stinging insect. What I found was a hummingbird, flying at ceiling level ... almost seeming to be "stuck" in the garage. Several attempts to guide the little guy to an exit failed & I was concerned that it was tiring itself out.
Finding a plastic snow shovel, I held it up to the ceiling & figured I could use it as a guide to get the hummer out of the garage. Imagine my surprise when it landed on the edge of the shovel! I was able to ease the shovel down & take a close up look up at the bird to make sure it was not injured. It took 3 tries of the shovel-perch method to get the hummer out of the garage, but mission accomplished!
