Surgery update, part 2
July 24th, 2007 08:55 amAfter the early morning visit to the Culpeper office, we were sent to the Charlottesville office where the doctor who did the surgery was & more facilities. Since I was one of 5 or 6 emergencies, we had a bit of a wait, but once we were seen, it was not long before the conclusion was that I would have to under go a second procedure to drain the infection.
I am now sporting a hole in my cheek. << sob >>
Hopefully the news will be good at my follow up appointment today. I'm in a lot less pain than I was & am currently on 2 antibiotics instead of the one. Keep your fingers crossed! If my body is able to fight the infection with this help, I will stay out of the hospital.
Brian's back to work today so Mom will be looking on me. I'm really glad to have them both for help.
So far no freaked out news from work. I know my boss was worried about how to handle the sick leave since I really don't have any. The new General manager started yesterday, so I am sure things are buzzing there & they have bigger stuff to worry about.
