Not much time this morning to write but wanted to bop in since I have been neglecting my blogging 'duty'.
Went to a small trade show yesterday by a company called Wetsel. Nothing on the scale of the Orgill show in Vegas, but I still found a few interesting things that I feel might do well in our stores. Of course, we are not buying anything now since inventory is about to start. I guess that makes me a purchasing agent who is supposed to do more purchasing (as opposed to marketing) who isn't allowed to buy anything.
I'm still in the process of brushing up my resume to apply for the Print Shop Supervisor position; I'm having a bit of a hard time coming up with succinct phrases for what I do at CFC. Well, words that makes sense anyhow. It's coming along though; I hope to be able to put the application in tonight - good thing too because the posting closes Friday.
We bought half an Angus heifer from one of the CFC store managers, then split that half with my Mom. Brian picked it up the other day & of course, we had to try some beef right away. Mmmm, good! The heifer was 1100 pounds on the hoof & was graded select. In addition, she was grain fed by the grain that we make right here in Culpeper.
And that's all the news that I have time to type!
