The verdict

The ex & I are both still sick. County rules mandate that he has to go to the doctor if he is out for 3 days or more. At least this way I get to find out what we have, since it's the same plague.

We have the flu.

His doctor told him to not even bother taking cold/flu medicines. Just take Tylenol for fever/aches if needed & while he offered the ex a prescription cough medicine, but he turned it down because he didn't want to bother with stopping at the pharmacy.

I've been hitting the office everyday & staying longer each time. My "boss" has asked to speak with me on Friday ... it seems that we will finally discuss my position in the scheme of our management makeover. About time!
