April 26th, 2008 06:30 pmFirst Hummingbird today! (Also the first day I had the feeder out ... yes, I know, I am late.)
We also saw a Rose-Breasted Grosbeak at the feeder this afternoon - WOW! It was a male & he was stunning. I hope he & his mate come back.
The ex took me spring turkey hunting today, which will probably be my only time out this season. While was a great morning to be in the woods, we didn't hear a gobble. The ex let me try one of his scratch calls as we were walking out of the woods. I am sure I sounded like a turkey on its death bed.
Mom, Wilma & I hit Fredricksburg for a mini whirlwind of shopping while the ex helped his brother do yard stuff.
