Weekend update
June 9th, 2008 12:45 pmThe ex & I were both busy bees & lazy loafers over the weekend.
Both mornings found us outside very early to do clean up in the yard after last week's storm. Saturday morning must have wore me out because I ended up taking a nap later in the day; something I almost never do. While I was napping the power went out (again) - most likely due to repairs. Although the power was out for only 2 hours, our internet connection was down until 10 pm.
The ex + no internet = very bored man
I did get a lot of cooking done this weekend including one of my best ever crustless quiches, cheater's banana bread & a way yummy meat tomato sauce. We also watched some movies including a weird one with Angelina Jolie (life or something like it) & Bull Durham (one of my favorites). As a bonus, we found the missing NetFlix movie in the couch!
By the time we got done with the yard (well, not done with the yard, but done with the heat!) Sunday morning it was looking much better. We still have a lot of wood to cut up & at one point we will have to rent a log splitter. The ex will borrow his brother's Bobcat to help move the big tree pieces & for the stump removal.
Cooper & Tucker think all the storm damage is the bestest thing ever because there are sticks EVERYWHERE! Tucker has not yet figured out that a downed tree is not a stick, which makes for some hilarious scenes.
