Tuesday tales
June 17th, 2008 08:38 pmWe still have the Bobcat to help us deal with all the trees that came down. The ex has been playing lumberjack in the evenings to rid our lawn of the fallen trees & stumps. This evening he let me run the Bobcat a little. This one is a littler version of the one we used a few years ago & the controls are a bit different (not that I really remembered how to run it from than anyhow).
Everything was fine until I went back with a load of wood ... I could not figure out how to dump the bucket. After what seemed like an eternity of me desperately trying to sort out what to do (and no husband in sight), I just shut the machine down. Fortunately, that got the ex's attention & he came to my rescue, explaining what I had to do (with my feet) to tip my load out.
The ex makes working the Bobcat look SO easy!
The Bobcat served another purpose at dusk when I climbed up it to get a better view of the full moon in all her orange glory. What a wonderful treat!
Tucker got some laser pointer time this evening. He is a such a complete nut for it! We had a false alarm at first since the batteries in my light were about dead, but some fresh AAA's hooked us up. The ex came out & worked the light for a bit too. When the humans are done playing laser pointer, we guide the light into the house & Tucker follows it right in!
As a side note, the funniest thing about playing laser pointer with Tucker is watching his tail. He wags it in huge circles when he's hyped on the laser.
