Chaotic Catch-up
December 1st, 2008 01:08 pmYes, I know, dates are probably all jumbled, as is my brain about now. Better than no updates at all don't ya know!
Tucker's ear is doing well. We had a bit of fresh blood yesterday, but the scab seems to be holding. I put antibiotic ointment every time I think about it. Once the bleeding stays stopped & the scab reduces in size, I may try some leftover scar cream on it in hope of minimizing a bumpy Am Staff ear.
Brian & I are still eating leftovers. Tonight I plan on making stock with the leftover turkey carcass. One leftover that is missing is pumpkin pie. We've been storing the pies in the garage & it seems a certain Beagle helped himself - not once but twice to pumpkin pie! First he got into a sugar-free pumpkin pie. We re-arranged the pies & thought that they were safe, but darn it if he did not get into the pies again - this time helping himself to the regular pumpkin pie. As a "reward" for pie stealing, he got NASTY diarrhea which both Brian & I got to clean up Sunday morning.
Most of the Hawaii crew left yesterday, but 2 cousins & their Aunt are still in VA. Brian will go to visit with them tomorrow night & I will have the house to myself. Nice & quiet!
