November 2nd, 2009 07:47 pm...but today was one of firsts.
I spotted a small doe out of shooting range a few times but nothing closer in. Turns out the doe must have hung around for about 45 minutes and finally wandered close enough in for a shot. This was the furthest shot I have made and it was spot on. The doe did not travel more than 7-8 yards. She is very small, but the meat should be quite tender.
To make things even the better, the moon is AMAZING tonight!
