Still dreary!

The weather is still basically dreary here. Between not being very sleepy last night and a rainy morning, I skipped hunting this morning. Brian saw two does, but did have a shot at either of them.

I was hoping to visit 1painter42 at her show today (and many thanks for the phone call this morning!) but I have been taking it easy today.

Puttering about the house has suited me just fine. I have a pot of sauce (homemade) cooking with some Italian sausage for dinner today. Sent a get well card off to a friend with broken leg and called to thank Brian's Uncle Lavern for my birthday card and gift. Changed some light bulbs, ran the dishwasher ... piddly stuff like that and taking time to rest between chores.

Young Mr. Rat (who still needs a name) seems to be doing okay. He's eating and drinking and certainly pooping and peeing. Tucker only whines when Young Mr. Rat moves about or I pay some attention to our little rodent friend.

The sun was supposed to make an appearance this afternoon but is so far standing us up. A little sunbeam would be so nice right about now!
