Thank Goddess Friday is Over (well almost)!
Today was an action-packed Friday starting with Mom coming over early so that I could give her van a quick prep. Mom has had two minivans for a while now and it's time to sell one. In this economy, however, no one is buying and we thought CarMax might be a viable option. (As it turns out, Carmax did not offer as much as we had hoped, but after some debate and phone calls for family intervention - erm, I mean advice - the van is sold!)
Mom and I met Auntie Anne and Uncle Joe for lunch at the Fredericksburg Pub. What a fun place AND they sell lambic!! Our visit with Anne and Joe was brief but still a pleasure. Uncle Joe presented me with some arrows that he had made way back when. They are wooden shafted arrows that were custom painted just for him.
It seems that my senior guide and I are playing email tag. I am still waiting to get my guide character "buffed" - which is needed so that I can start my apprenticeship in the program. The name that I have chosen for my guide toon is Bharani; a minor Goddess of misfortune. This seems fitting because most of the time players need a guide is when they have experienced some misfortune in the game.
