What a wonderful Thanksgiving Day!
While there is a bit of chaos in my life, I have so much to be thankful for.
Thanksgiving dinner turned out pretty good. The turkey (cooked in a roasting bag) looked great. The lasagna ended up a bit soupy (my homemade sauce's fault) but tasted okay. Real mashed potatoes with chive butter, Mom's candied sweet potatoes, creamed spinach also graced the table. YUMMY!
The biggest food flop turned out to be the cornbread. Despite following the directions, the loaf never rose and ended up being a baked cornmeal brick. My first bread machine flop!
While there is a bit of chaos in my life, I have so much to be thankful for.
- My Mother whose unconditional love and support for me is as amazing today as it always has been.
- My sister who not only is a good sister but also a friend and more.
- Truly loving friends who I can laugh and cry with, share silly jokes and know that I can count on them - just as I hope they know that they can count on me.
- Lots of "little" things like health and home and all sorts of good stuff.
