Wait a second..
December 2nd, 2009 11:07 pmIt's Wednesday and I went to Fredericksburg to go to the doctor. Just want to keep things a little fresh. Received an A-okay from Dr. Stadulis for my post-ThermaChoice appointment. Yay!
Mom and I went to lunch at Red Lobster. Nothing like having your birthday stretch on for days! We munched on all sorts of goodies there. I am not sure I have ever seen Mom drink so much coffee or gobble up so much lobster. Nice to see her enjoy stuff like that!
Once we got home, we had a little computer work to do. Brian called me on my cell phone while we were doing stuff. Not much odd about any of this ... except that when I answered my cell phone, the entire display on the inside of the flip phone was upside down.
I closed the phone. The front display was okay.
Open the phone. Upside down.
Rinse and repeat a few times with the same result. Bizarre.
A call to Nextel/Sprint reveals that apparently this is a common issue with the model (Motorola i880) phone that I have. A very nice (but also very sickly) customer service lady will send a refurbished phone out free of charge even though my warranty is out and waive the replacement fee. She added in a battery when she heard my old battery is not keeping the charge it used to. She also gave me the hint that if I open the phone very slowly, the display will be right side up ... at least until it goes dark, then it comes back upside down.
And to think that I only wanted a phone to make calls and to have a calculator in it. By the way, I am not crazy, there is no calculator in my phone; she said a calculator download is about $6-7!
