pandasheart: (whistlejacket)
While the dermatologist does not think that the bump on my nose is anything to be alarmed over, she did take a biopsy. After chatting over the likely outcome of having a scar on the bump, we decided to just take a larger sample in the hopes of eradicating the bump and just leaving a small scar.

Much to my surprise she took the biopsy right there and then!

Getting a Novocaine in the tip of your nose stings a whole lot.

Fortunately (VERY fortunately) once the Novocaine kicked in I felt nothing more. YAY for total numbness of the nose and extremely sharp biopsy punches.

Having your nose tugged on by the sutures is a truly weird experience to say the least.

The worst part of the whole thing was when the nurse would press down HARD on my nose to stop the bleeding. Well, the band-aid on the tip of my nose is not really fun either (I hate band-aids). Under the bandage, I am sporting two very blue stitches and I go back in a week to have them removed.

Seeing a piece (albeit a very small piece) of your body being carried out of the room in a bio-hazard baggie is kind of funny and alarming at the same time.

My nose is a little sore but is otherwise OK. It would be awesome if the bump does not grow back!

Treadmill = zero. Took Tucker for a long walk out back for 40 minutes.

The temperature today hit 60 degrees! This is after a very windy and rainy night; wind gusts up to 50 mph. Our power was out at 5 am but came back on before 7 am. It was already 50 degrees when I woke up at 5 (the CPAP shutting down is what probably woke me). The awesome pottery lantern from my sis came in mighty handy and saved me from fumbling in the dark. It throws a lot of light too.
