And she's back!
March 11th, 2010 10:13 pmNot that my Internet presence or lack thereof had been noticed, but I am now back online after a brief yet frustrating intermission.
The ex showed up on Tuesday afternoon to gather up more stuff. Seems he had changed his mind AGAIN about staying here and mentioned that his attorney told him that at this point it did not matter. Part of what he decided to take with him was our router - which is how we connect to the Internet.
To make a VERY long story short, I can tell you that the innocent bystander in the whole sordid affair turned out to be my air mattress which suffered an accidental stab wound.
Thankfully Mom and Wilma came to save the day today. They arrived bearing tools and Mom's common sense for which they both have my gratitude and as you could probably tell, I am once again surfing the world wide web.
Yesterday Mom and I traveled to Silver Spring, Maryland to pick up a mission-style curio cabinet that I had seen on Craigslist. On the way back from getting it, we had a nice lunch and stopped in Manassas to get a smaller wall curio that turned out to be pretty darned neat. Once I get the two pieces all set, Mom;'s horses will have nice places to live.
Treadmill = zero for the past few days (between being busy here and my foot hurting, there has been little walking)
Speaking of foot hurting ... apparently the plantar faciitis has kicked up again and I am typing tonight with my foot in the cam boot. To make matters even more interesting, I have an ingrown toe nail on my other foot.
My attorney and I are still waiting on the ex's lawyer for the revised settlement agreement. Unless she hears from him in the morning, she will be contacting him AGAIN. This is another week that has been wasted by the ex and/or his attorney.
The ex came back to the house this afternoon to get more stuff and made the announcement that he changed his mind once more and would be staying the night here. It seems that regardless of what his lawyer has told him or what the legal code of Commonwealth dictates, th eex would prefer to follow a co-worker's advice.
Hmmm ... I guess you could tell that the baloney with the ex is getting on my nerves. Sorry.
