Monday bumday
April 5th, 2010 10:46 pmSeems I may have burned myself out last week with all the stuff I got done around the house; I did not have much oomph today for chores. Also a factor is probably the weather - the thermometer crept into the 80's here and got so hot so fast that we had thunderstorms this afternoon.
In the good news department, I have a spiffy new mailbox thanks to VDOT (the folks who crashed into the old one). The two guys that came to fix it (yes, it takes two state workers to replace a mailbox) were very humorous. Good thing I had borrowed Mom's new Ryobi tools to put in the deadbolts since the VDOT guys did not come very well equipped.
The guys offered to put "my" name on the new mailbox since the old one had the ex's on it. My reply of "absolutely not" made them both chuckle and one them commented, "I guess he's not welcome around here any more". Bingo! He also suggested that he could leave the old mailbox with me in case I wanted to drive over it a few times to make me feel better.
The new mailbox is gray (the old one was black) and I would like to do something decorative to it. Keep in mind I am not artistic in the least. Wish me luck!
Duchess threw up some this evening ... she's acting fine though and wolfed down her dinner of rice. It seems she have have eaten a bit too much of the gummy nylabone. Tucker seemed very worried about his "little sister".
Treadmill = zero (no energy)
Divorce update: My attorney can't get in touch with the ex's. Ugh!
Ironically, Facebook has suggested the ex as a friend to me. Double ugh!
