Another very warm spring day - the thermometer hit 89, so technically cooler than yesterday's 90. LOL

After holding out yesterday and not putting the AC on (and being rather miserable in the evening) I gave up this morning when the thermometer was reading 65 degrees before 8 am and climbing rapidly. I am glad that I did although my checkbook hopes that cooler spring weather returns ASAP.

Thankfully my energy made a return and I was able to get a lot done, so much so that I feel like I can make a list again!
  •  Installed the window film on the garage window (thanks to [livejournal.com profile] dreamtigress for suggesting the film layout!)
  •  Used the scrap from the window project to cover the 2 switch plates and 4 of the 6 outlet covers in the dining room
  • Transferred my ivy plant to a larger pot
  • Typed up a document required by the mortgage company and emailed it to the ex
  • Made some inquiries on my two 401(k) accounts (I am thinking of moving them to ING perhaps); checked the IRA rates at ING; filled out a form for my Apple FCU IRA
  • Washed two dogs rugs and a bed that Duchess has gotten sick on
  • Separated out some hosta plants and replanted them in a few spots in the front of the house
  • Programmed the thermostat
  • Swept the floors
  • Did some dusting
The lilacs are really starting to bloom nicely and on the last dog walk of the evening, I caught their scent in the breeze. How wonderful! During the day, the butterflies were enjoying the blossoms too! Three tulips are also blooming!

Duchess is back on normal food now. No more puking puppy.

In the whacky world of woodpeckers, yesterday a Red-bellied Woodpecker slammed into the sliding glass door on the deck with a force so hard I thought the house had been hit by a stray bullet. He was knocked silly so I scooped him up and placed him a box in the shade, not really expecting him to make it. Within 10-15 minutes, much to my surprise, he was able to fly away. Today another one (presumably the same male) flew into the window but was able to fly right off. I'll be trying to keep the screen door shut to discourage them.

Tomorrow's interview at ABR is a go. Hopefully I will learn more in person than I have been able to do via email and online. Put in for a marketing manager position in Warrenton that sounds awesome; I bet the competition will be stiff for that one.

Treadmill = zero (hurting foot and a busy day)

Still no word on the settlement agreement. I'm not sure what sort of games the ex is playing, but I do not appreciate it.
Edit: Right after I posted this entry I received an email from my attorney. The ex is going in to his lawyer's office next week to review (and presumably sign) the settlement agreement. While I would like to change the dates in the agreement regarding the assumption of the house, I am afraid to delay things even more.
