Dentist day
May 27th, 2010 09:46 pmSpent two hours in the dentist's chair to get one half of my mouth scaled and cleaned. That will teach me to stay away from the dentist for years at a time. Since I was pretty much a wreck in the chair, they gave me nitrous which was wonderful until I started to get sick. Bleh! The hygienist was very nice about the whole thing and once I recovered a bit we continued on. After the appointment, I drove to Mom's since I was no condition to do my errands and I promptly passed out for two hours in her spare bedroom.
Last night I ordered a trailer hitch for the Endeavor from JC Whitney and today bought a 4x8 trailer that I found on Craigslist. This will come in SO handy for Mom and I. In the "where there is a witch, there is a way" category, we got the trailer home by fastening it to Mom's minivan. So far we only have $345 invested; wiring should not be that pricey and I am hoping that I can get the hitch installed by myself.
No news in divorce-land, but I did answer some additional questions for the mortgage guy.
Since VABB (my ISP) has decided to raise their rates and change their access structure AGAIN, I thought I was ready to make the leap to get a smart phone (that may also be able to double for internet access on my PC). However, looking at the various deals that are available for the Motorola Droid, I am getting frustrated with the red tape involved with all the deals on the phone. LetsTalk.com has the Droid for $19.99 with a 2-year contract of $59/month or higher (not including the $29.99 data pack). Wal-Mart offers a professional bundle for the same price that includes the docking cradle and a GPS mount but you have to include a text plan in the 2-year agreement (I do not text). Ironically Wal-Mart is offering phones via LetsTalk. I guess I need to do more research since I do not want to pay $200 for the phone.
