How is it possible...
June 21st, 2010 08:34 pm... that one place could be SO screwed up?
Today was going fairly well, even though I was spending half of it in meetings of one sort or another. That was until the I was getting to leave and learned that one of our jobs had failed Merlin testing at the post office. You know that little bar code under your address on mail? That has to go through Merlin testing to make sure that the mail is machinable through the USPS system.
The fine for the failure? Rumored to be $2,500 for the size mailing we did.

Seriously, in all the time that I have been doing mailings, I have never failed a Merlin test. While I never even saw this job go through the shop - you know who's arse is on the line, right?
