We've landed!

daecabhir and I have arrived at our country home where we can hopefully stay for the next week. Luckily Mother Nature was smiling on us and kept the snow from skewing our drive from Charm City to Richardsville. Once we got the Prius unpacked, we headed to Culpeper and did a little grocery shopping and then it was off to Mom's to get the dogs.

Speaking of the dogs, daecabhir "officially" adopted Tucker and Duchess on Christmas day. The dogs (with a little help from me) created an 'official' adoption agreement between the two of them and Gregory.

We had a truly wonderful holiday. Christmas eve was spent with Mom, dreamtigress and amywon. There was much good food, lots of laughing (that's a given!) and many (MANY) wonderful gifts. There was also a lot of smooching done by daecabhir and I ... so much so that we got scolded by my sister.

After opening our presents in bed (best idea of the day) we headed out and spent the rest of the day with daecabhir's family. It was great to meet them and we had a wonderful time. Of course there were lots of laughs and more good food. It's always a pleasure to watch kids with their presents on Christmas day and this was no exception.

Simply put, this was the best Christmas ever.
