A drippy Tuesday in Charm City

daecabhir is back at work after a 3-day weekend (more YAY) and I am catching up on electronic happenings before running some errands. With no internet access (thanks Comcast) we had a relatively gadget free day (not necessarily a bad thing, mind you).
Yesterday, after sleeping in, we learned that unfortunately B & J would not be driving down from PA to meet us for lunch, so we decided to take things slow mid-day and just enjoy the company that we did have. Yeah, I know, adorkable, right?
Since our plans had changed, we were able to bump up our evening appointment in Silver Spring and after lots of playing with shiny stuff, enjoying some mead as well as a few giggles managed to have a chainmaille necklace commissioned.daecabhir also picked a sexy pair of chainmaille earring for me and we got a 'flower' custom made while we chatted. The colors will go well with my kilt; now to find the right clip that will actually hold it in my hair.
Not sure when the chain will be completed, but to say that i am jazzed would be a serious understatement. Once the chain is complete, the maker will close the final links of it while its on me ... as he put it, it will be perma-maille.
