After carefully considering colors for the white trim on the house, I thought we had picked a winner. That is until I painted two of the columns on the front porch and realizing that the color was far too light. Fortunately the local True Value where I bought the paint last week has an assistant manager who actually listens to customers and gave re-tinting my paint a try. The newly re-painted columns are much more to my liking (hopefully
daecabhir's as well) and I can't wait to get the rest of the porch and trim painted.
The satisfaction that comes from doing this type of stuff around the house is great ... especially since some of it is way overdue and wasn't really an option to do with my ex. Of course, the bigger thrill is making the house a home for both
daecabhir and I.
Hopefully we are still on track for the gutter install tomorrow. Once I have an idea of when that is happening, I can arrange to get the dogs back home from Mom's.
